Why this one matters

The 2026 tournament is the first World Cup to expand to 48 teams. It's also the first hosted by three countries simultaneously. The footprint, the fan travel, and the global broadcast reach all eclipse anything that's come before.

For Global Sports Outreach, that means three things: dramatically more on-the-ground opportunity, dramatically more digital reach as fans engage from home, and dramatically more responder hours needed in dramatically more languages.

What we're staging

  • Pin distribution at fan zones and transit hubs across all 16 host cities, with each city carrying a unique pin design.
  • Short-term volunteer teams deployed to each host city, working alongside long-term IMB strategies already in place.
  • A 24/7 digital response center covering 16+ languages, staffed by trained volunteers responding to NFC pin taps in real time.
  • Country-of-origin handoffs connecting interested fans to IMB workers serving in their home country.

Help us be ready for kickoff.

Funding now pays for pin production, responder training, and team logistics.
